Galatians 5:2-3
2Mark my words! I, Paul, tell you that if you let yourselves be circumcised, Christ will be of no value to you at all. 3Again I declare to every man who lets himself be circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.
Literalists take note. Are you circumcised?
Is Galatians culturally-bound? There certainly are passages here which apply to us with a conceptual search-and-replace. There are also phrases which don’t mean the same thing now that they did then.
Plus there’s Paul’s flair for drama. That’s always enjoyable.
